Hi Guys,
I've just taken ownership of my new Halcyon grey Classic 350 and although I've only done 60 miles on him I'm smitten! Never had a bike that makes me smile as much as this one ( I also have a Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT which is an amazing bike too)...HOWEVER I do have a problem with the fit & finish of the bike, specifically the chrome at the very top of the exhaust header pipe, the chrome plate is SO thin and doesn't come all the way up to the engine block and has already started to flake!..I'm not sure how to add a pic on here but did do a very short video on you tube (2 wheeled willie) Has anyone else experienced this? And is this something I should speak to the Dealers about or am I setting the bar too high with my expectations?
Looking forward to becoming an active RE Forum member over the coming months.
Willie

Give the dealer a chance to make it right first. If you're ignored, then escalate it higher on the food chain. If Enfield wants to be number one in the world market they have to address these issues and keep quality control in check. That being said, dealers can make or break a brand. American brand bikes bikes have suffered from sub-par dealerships. They have to focus on customer service. End of story.

I love that classic, and the color as well. That color scheme, in my opinion, will end up being hard to find. I just bought my first RE today ('23 Scram 411, Blazing Black), and the dealer, Michael at Royal Enfield of Fort Worth, has a '22 "Ernie" in the showroom that he's offering a great deal on to move the last '22 out of the store: (2022 Royal Enfield Classic 350, Halcyon Grey) . Fantastic experience working with him today, he was very patient with me while pulling out multiples of dang near every RE he has in the showroom so I could sit on them and monkey around while I decided on which one I wanted to buy.

After jumping on all of them, I finally decided on the Scram 411; it just felt like the right one for what I'm looking for, putting around town, between towns on the 60-70 mph freeways between, but I was torn about that Ernie he has. Such a great looking color scheme, and I'm hard-pressed right now to not go and buy it, too.

FYI, they have a Classic 350 set up with the low-slung seat ($134 for the seat, easy to install yourself), and it made a world of difference. While the stock seat and triangle is really comfortable, The difference between the two is very apparent. With the stock seat, it felt like I was sitting on top of the bike, little like a circus bear...with the low-slung one, same comfort, but it felt like I was sitting "in" the bike and could hug the tank with my knees a lot better.
