Question about a 2018 without ABS

I purchased a 2018 Himalayan 411 that only had 800 miles on it. Someone had purchased a dealer demo unit it seems and decided it wasn't for him. I note that there is no ABS on the bike and wondered if they made early models without ABS (not sure when it was added). I did ping RE using there US customer service email and asked them, but after 2 months they didn't bother to reply.

Tangent - I added a Hitchcocks cam to the bike. Huge huge improvement.
