Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I brought home my first RE - Classic 500 in battle green. Put in a few miles to get to know it and can’t stop smiling.

I feel the addiction forming - already thinking about adding an Interceptor :)

I’m in Raleigh NC. Bought it at Team Powersports and highly recommend them.

Congratulations on getting your 350 @CrazyOldMan and welcome to the forum! What sold you on it compared to other bikes?

I was originally looking at a Janus 250. I love the retro style of that bike but after some research and a discussion with the sales manager I decided it was too risky a purchase. Engine is a Honda knockoff made in China but the parts are not interchangeable so basically every part on the bike has only one source (Janus in Indiana). It was also twice the price of the RE. When I did the research on the RE I was amazed at so many great reviews and after learning a bit about the company I thought it was well worth checking out. After learning the price it was a no brainer. On the down side all the dealers are adding about $800 in various fees which was a turn off but still puts the price in a sweet spot. My first ride home was a charm and it felt good to be back in the saddle. So far I love this thing.
